GDC Ramgarh organises Declamation Contest as a part of Gandhi Jayanti

SAMBA: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit-Prabha of Government Degree College Ramgarh organized a Declamation Contest as a part of Gandhi Jayanti celebration. The event was organized under the supervision and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College.

Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Convener, IQAC said that whenever we think of Mahatma Gandhi, two words come to our mind-truth and non-violence as he was a staunch believer in these two ideals. Truth and non-violence were his tools during India's freedom struggle against British Colonial rule.

The event was organized by the NSS Program Officer, Dr. Shamsher Lal. He highlighted the truth and Non-violence go hand in hand and is the best combination for overall development of youth and society.

The event was compeered by Ms. Malkit Kour of BA Semester-V. A large number of students of the College participated in the Declamation Contest and expressed their view on truth and non-violence.

The first position was secured by Jagmeet Kour of BA Semester-III, second position was secured and shared by Tamana Attri of BA Semester-III, and third position was secured by Kajal Thappa of BA Semester-V.

The faculty members who were present include- Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Prof. Seema Sharma, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Shamsher Lal, Prof. Risha Kumari, Dr. Ekta Rani, Dr. Shivali Choudhary, Priya Sharma, Dr. Paramjeet Kour, Priya Sharma and Mr. Sunil Kumar.
