GDC Ramgarh organises symposium on ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan'

SAMBA: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit-Prabha of Government Degree College Ramgarh on Wednesday organized a Symposium on ‘Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan' under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

A large number of students of the College participated in the Symposium and expressed their views and opinions about how the problem of drug abuse can be handled. The first position was secured by Deepika Kundal of BA Semester-V, second position was secured by Sunaina Bhardwaj of BA Semester-III and third position was secured by Tania Charak of BA Semester-III.

The event was organized under the supervision and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College.

Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Convener, IQAC said that the Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan has been launched to involve youths in the fight against the drug menace. She further said that it is the responsibility of all to accept those people who are on the wrong path and guide, counsel them and reach out to target groups as they are in need of love, care and proper guidance.

The event was organized by the NSS Program Officer, Dr. Shamsher Lal. The event was conducted by Tamana Attri of BA Semester-V.

The faculty members who were present include - Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Prof. Seema Sharma, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Shamsher Lal, Prof. Risha Kumari, Dr. Ekta Rani, Dr. Shivali Choudhary, Priya Sharma, Dr. Paramjeet Kour, Priya Sharma and Sunil Kumar.
