FICCI FLO holds 2-day 2nd Governing Body Meet in Bhubaneswar

BHUBANESWAR: FICCI FLO held its 2nd Governing Body Meet in Odisha's Bhubaneswar city wherein representatives of all its 19 Chapters took part to deliberate on its first quarter report.

Varuna Anand, Chairperson & Ruchika Gupta Sr. Vice Chairperson represented FLO JKL at 2nd Governing Body at Bhubhaneshwar.

It is pertinent to mention that FLO is the Ladies arm of FICCI, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry which is the apex body of industry and commerce in India.

The two days event in Bhubaneswar marked various resolutions with priority being given to creating a business environment across the country wherein job providers galore to satiate the aspirations of job seekers, which is the need of the time across the nation as joblessness is all time high.

Besides, presentation of first quarter report by Chairpersons of all the 19 Chapters, the meet also witnessed reports being presented by initiative heads for the first quarter. The national initiatives include FLO Start-up cell, education and digital skilling initiatives, FLO financial and vocational literacy, industry trade and start up, FLO Women Director and FLO Legal and Policy Advocacy.

Varuna Anand, Chairperson FICCI FLO JKL, submitted her reported and showcased the works done by JK Chapter from April to June 2023. She also discussed her learning experience and difficulties faced during each of the initiatives.

The Governing Body meet was followed by a panel discussion on "Women Empowerment and the way ahead." The panelists included Sudha Shivkumar National President FICCI FLO, Subhrakant Panda, FICCI National President, Hemant Sharma IAS, Principal Secretary Industries Odisha and Rajita Kulkarni, President, Sri Sri University.

The Guest of Honor on the occasion was Dr Amar Patnaik, Rajya Sabha MP.

The participants of the Meet said that such encounters provide a broader perspective on the rich tapestry of diversity that India has to offer.

Speaking at the Meet, she said that FLO JKL played an active role in J&K as an enabler of women empowerment through entrepreneurship development and professional excellence.

"The target of FLO in J&K was to foster an entrepreneurial culture with emphasis on Women.

On the day two of the Meet, the participants got the opportunity to visit world famous Konark Sun Temple and Jaganath Temple in Puri.
The learning experiences of a Governing Body Meet in a new state can also be expressed as an exhilarating adventure that offers a vibrant tapestry of cultural immersion, culinary delights, and invaluable learning experiences.
