Inter Zonal tournament for Boys and Girls concludes at Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH: The 6 Day School Level Inter Zonal tournament in the disciplines of Volleyball, Kho Kho, Kabaddi, Tug of War, TT, Athletic Chess, Carom, for Under 14/17 Boys and Girls concluded at GHSS Boys Bhaderwah, here today.

Around 1224 students from both Government and Private schools of zone Bhaderwah participated in the event organised by the department of youth services and sports under the patronage of Director Youth Services and sports Subash Chander Chiber and under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jaffer Haider Sheikh and Vijay Kumar incharge ZPEO Bhaderwah.

The final Kabbadi match for U14 Girls was won by BVM Gatha by defeating Model Secular, while the final match for U/17 Girls was won by Model Secular by beating GHS Nichla Thala.

The Kho-Kho U/14 Girls was won by the BVM Gatha by defeating RADIANT Academy by 6 points and the U/17 Girls was won by the GHSS Chinta by defeating GHS Nichla Thara by 01 point.

The Volleyball U/17 Girls was won by the GHSS Chinta by beating GHSS Girls by 5 points.

The Carrom U/14 Girls was won by the Ariba Bano of UPS Upper Dandi by defeating Divya Devi of UPS Lanchan, while in U/17 category, BVM defeated GHSS Girls. In Chess under 14 Girls, GMS Hanga beat BVM Sartingal.

In Badminton under U/14 Girls, Zanib Malik from Radiant defeated Akishta from Model Secular. In Kabaddi U/14 Boys, the Model Secular defeated MS Mandir and in U/17 Boys BVM Nagar defeated GHSS Sartingal.

In Volleyball U/17, GHSS Sartingal defeated Islamia School. In Tug of War U/14 Boys, Model Secular defeated GMS Sartingal and in U/17 Boys, Model Secular defeated Asraria GHS Sartingal.
