AHD Pulwama organises Mega Awareness programme

PULWAMA: Animal Husbandry Department (AHD) Pulwama on Wednesday organised a Mega Awareness camp under Information Dissemination and Promotional Activities programme at village Chakoora, Block Pulwama.

Large number of farmers/unemployed youth participated in the event.

On the occasion, the participants were given awareness regarding different beneficiary oriented schemes viz. IDDS/ IPDP/ KCC/ NAIP/ Holistic Agriculture Development programme and health and management aspect of dairy and poultry farming.

The programme was attended by BVO Pulwama, CP Pulwama,VAS Chakoora, VAS Litter and T.O Pulwama along with their staff and the progressive dairy farmers.

Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Pulwama detailed the importance of the existing departmental schemes and their process of execution and implementation at the ground level. He also delivered a detailed lecture about IPDP and motivated the unemployed youth to take up the trade for self-employment.

The farmers were also introduced to the Holistic Agricultural Development programme. Some dairy farmers also shared their success stories with the rest of the gathering inspiring them to invest in the Dairy and Poultry sectors.

CAHO Pulwama invited the people of the District to be part of the Dairy and Poultry fraternity of Pulwama who are changing the future of these industries in the district.

Later, some useful literature and pamphlets were also distributed on spot among all participants.
