JAMMU: Justice Tashi Rabstan, Justice Rajnish Oswal and Justice Rajesh Sikri declared open Lawyers Sports Meet on Day-5th in presence of president JKHCBA MK Bhardwaj and other office bearers of the Bar Association.

The office bearers of the Association welcomed the guests of the events by presenting bouquets. They (guests of the event) appreciated the step taken by the Association in organizing such events, which give some time of leisure for entertainment and rejuvenation to the lawyers who are otherwise very busy in their professional work, while 2nd half of the meet was inaugurated by Arun Gupta (President, Chamber of Commerce and Industries), Gaurav Gupta (Secretary General) and Rajesh Gupta (Secretary).

The 1st match was played between Dara XI and Royal Unique XI, in which Royal Unique XI scored 108 runs in the stipulated 10 overs. Vireshwar made 30 runs and Rohni scored 35 runs, while Nitin took 1 wicket. In reply, Dara XI could not chase the target and bundled out at 89 wherein Aman made 39 runs and Amandeep scored 15 runs, while Rohit took 3 wickets, Rageshwar took 2 wickets, Sachin and Nitin took 1 wicket each. Royal Unique XI won the match with 19 runs.

The 2nd match was played between Sachin XI and Avengers XI, in which Sachin XI gave target of 93 runs. Satnam Singh made 60 runs and Anil Verma scored 12, while Mansoor and Mohd Azam took 1 wicket each.

In reply, Avengers XI bundled out at 84 runs. Aahar and Mansoor scored 40 & 19 runs respectively, while Nirmal Singh and Nitin Parihar took 1 wicket each for Sachin XI. Sachin XI won the match with 9 runs.

The 3rd match was played between Paradise XI and Manhas Warriors XI, in which Paradise XI scored 85 runs with the help of Vikas Sharma's 35 runs and Dalbir's 17 runs, while Chander Dev Manhas took 2 wickets, Sohit and Vishal took 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target Manhas Warriors XI chased the target and registered 5 wickets win. Bageshwar made 18 runs and Sohit scored 17 runs, while Ravi Abrol took 2 wickets, Manav and Rohen grabbed one wicket each.

The 4th match was played between Sachin XI and Legal ‘A' Star, in which Legal ‘A' Star gave the target of 121 runs. Pranav Kohli made 65 runs and Sheroz AP Songh scored 27 & 15 runs respectively, while Avinay Sharma, Rohit Gupta and Pankaj took 1 wicket each.

In reply, Sachin XI bundled out at 78 runs. Sachin made 20 runs and Rohini contributed 16 runs, while Sanjay took 2 wickets, Sheroz and Parvesh took one wicket each. The Legal ‘A' Star won the match with 43 runs.

In Volleyball, Six Strikers defeated Royal-13 by 2-1 sets at MA Stadium Jammu which was organised by BD Malhotra (Advocate).
