JU organises career counselling programme at APS Ratnuchak

JAMMU: Employment Information Cum Advisory Bureau (EIAB), Department of Lifelong Learning (DLL) in collaboration with APS, Ratnuchak today organised a career counselling programme in "Career options in Sciences and Commerce after 10+2" for the students of the school in its premises.

The event started with the lighting of a lamp. Manayeta Sharma, Vice Principal of the school formally welcomed the guests.

The programme was held under the guidance of Dr. Kavita Suri, Director, DLL.

The special resource persons were Dr. Sarabjeet Kour, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, JU, Dr. Harleen Kour, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, JU and Dr. Rewa Khajuria, Counsellor, EIAB, DLL. Dr. Sarabjeet Kour in her presentation apprised the students about academic and professional options available in both medical and non-medical streams for the students after 12th class.

Dr. Harleen Kour informed the students about the career prospects in commerce and further study options after completing schooling. Dr. Rewa Khajuria spoke about importance of career counselling.

The programme was useful for the students who were able to know the career prospects in these streams.

About 153 students of the school while giving feedback appreciated the programme.
