GDC Ramgarh organises 3 day awareness programme on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

SAMBA: The NSS Unit Prabha, Government Degree College Ramgarh organized a three-day awareness programme under the banner of the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan' (NMBA) and under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.

The program was organized under the supervision and leadership of Dr. Satinder Kaur, Principal of the College.

Today, a poster-making competition was held and the Principal of the College briefed the participants about the threats of drug abuse and encouraged them to stay away from drugs and related narcotics. She emphasized on adopting a healthy lifestyle, which shall ultimately lead to a much healthier society, at large.

The Principal apprised the stakeholders about the awareness programmes being organized to focus on the youth involvement in social evil eradication programme floated by the Government of India and reach out to the target groups.

The poster-making competition on the theme of the NMBA was organized by Dr. Shamsher Lal, Programme Officer of the College's NSS Unit in which seven NSS volunteers participated.

The first position was secured by Vimal Singh, the second position was secured by Pankaj Kundal, and the third position was secured and shared by Aryavansh and Muskan Verma. All the participants are from BA semester-II of the College. The competition was judged by Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Prof. Seema Sharma and Prof. Risha Kumari.

Certificates were distributed among the participants on the occasion.
