BHADERWAH: The week-long "Hiking & Trekking Expedition" commenced from Bhaderwah Campus here today.

Hiking & Trekking Expedition is being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu in collaboration with Bhaderwah Campus from September 7th to September 13th .

Rector Bhaderwah Campus Prof. Rahul Gupta along with Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and Physical Education University of Jammu flagged off the Hiking &Trekking Expedition from Bhaderwah Campus.

"Hiking & Trekking Expedition" will be held at the local treks of the Bhaderwah and Seog meadows. 45 students from JU, and affiliated colleges to be part of the expedition

Vice Chancellor University of Jammu Prof. Umesh Rai in his massage has appreciated and advised the participants to enjoy the trekking, maintain discipline and follow the guidelines.

While addressing the trackers, Rector Bhaderwah Campus appreciated the participation of the students & efforts of the University of Jammu especially the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education University of Jammu headed by Dr Daud Iqbal Baba for organising the expedition at this moment. "Such kinds of events help youths to keep themselves away from anti-social activities," he added.

Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Directorate of Sports and Physical Education in his thanked the Rector Bhaderwah Campus for its collaboration with the said event as a goodwill gesture.

He apprised about the route and weeklong programme of the Hiking & Trekking Expedition. "We are highly thankful to Rector Bhaderwah Campus Prof. Rahul Gupta for his unending support for this expedition," he added
