RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today took a comprehensive review of the performance of Rural Development Department, here in a meeting of the concerned officers.
The meeting took stock of the progress under District Capex budget, Amrit Sarovar programme, construction of houses under PMAY and Awas plus, works taken up, completed under 14th FC, digging of soak pits, secure status of estimation, payment of wages, person days generated etc.
The meeting was informed that out of 3786 works approved under annual Budget, 3405 works have tendered out, while 170 have been allotted for execution.
While taking note of slow tendering and allotment process, the DDC asked the Block Development Officers to convene joint meetings of the PRIs and contractors to maximize the participation of the Panchayat level contractors.
It was further apprised that 343618 Person Days have been generated as on date, while DDC asked to take effective measures to meet the set yearly target.
Taking stock of the status of secure estimation, it was given out that 28827 works are on the shelf for FY 2022-23 and 11052 MGNREGA works have been sent to secure.
Regarding construction of soak pits, the meeting was informed that against the target of 130000 units, the work on 23221 units was in progress. Regarding Amrit Sarovars, it was apprised that out of 153 Amrit Sarovars, the work on 42 is complete.
Similarly, the DDC also took stock of the physical and financial progress made under PMAY and Awas plus. It was informed that against the target of 30661 houses under PMAY-G, the work on as many as 16951 stands completed, while against the target of 10864 houses under Awas plus, the work on 93 houses is complete. The DC set the Target for completion of 10000 PMAY houses in the coming two months.
Asking the concerned officers to adhere to set timelines, he directed them to work meticulously utilising the working season, besides, he also stressed on meeting quality parameters. |
