UDHAMPUR: To address the grievances of the general public, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Krittika Jyotsna today conducted a public outreach cum grievances redressal camp in the premises of Panchayat Bhawan Dhemma of Block Khoon.
DDC vice Chairperson, Udhampur, Juhi Manhas Pathania was also present on the occasion.
The Public representatives and general public hailing from different Panchayats of the Block projected several demands and issues before the District Administration.
They demanded adequate staff in educational and health institutions, meeting paucity of drinking water supply in different Panchayats, installation of transformers to resolve the problem of Low voltage, Construction of overhead foot bridge on the main road, improvement of Mobile connectivity, speedy execution of proposed PMGSY and PWD roads, Black topping of existing roads, clearance of pending material liabilities under MGNREGA, repair of hand pumps, Rationalization of teaching staff etc.
The DDC Vice Chairperson also thanked the DC for organising the public outreach camp in Khoon block. She said that the aim of the public outreach drive was to apprise the Administration about the ground issues being faced by the general masses and to bring it (administration) closer to people for timely action and redressal of issues / grievances.
The DC gave a patient hearing to all the participants and issued necessary directions to respective officers for early disposal of all genuine grievances and fulfillment of demands.
The DC also directed the Mechanical, Civil wing of Jal Shakti department and PDD to organise joint meetings to resolve the water and power issues on priority.
Necessary instructions were issued to other District Officers for organizing awareness camps in the area to educate the public about various govt schemes and encourage them to take benefits of these schemes.
Later, the DC visited Khoon and inspected the progress of work on the PMGSY road and Dug well. Executing agencies were directed to expedite the pace for timely completion of the projects. |
