UDHAMPUR: As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan District Administration Udhampur under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today organized an awareness camp at Panchayat Darsoo, Block Udhampur, with the objective of sensitizing and empowering the local Scheduled Tribe community through improved access to government welfare schemes and public services.

The camp witnessed active participation of officers from key line departments including Health, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Education, Social Welfare, Skill Development and Food & Civil Supplies, tehsildar Udhampur, BDO Udhampur and other field functionaries.

During the camp, departmental officials provided detailed information regarding various government schemes focusing on livelihood generation, skill training, educational incentives, nutritional and food security and social welfare benefits. The initiative aimed to raise awareness and bridge information gaps among the tribal population.

In addition to awareness generation, a grievance redressal mechanism was also put in place at the venue. A number of public grievances were resolved on the spot.

The camp served as a robust platform for community sensitization, and inclusive development. The local residents expressed gratitude for the outreach initiative and lauded the administration's proactive approach towards grassroots-level engagement and empowerment.
