KULGAM: As part of the ongoing efforts under the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan (NMJKA), a series of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities are being conducted across the district Kulgam to raise awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free society.

District administration, in collaboration with various departments including the Health, Education, Social Welfare, and Police, has intensified the outreach programmes in schools, colleges, panchayats, and other public spaces.

Activities such as awareness rallies, poster-making competitions, counselling sessions, interactive workshops, and street plays are being carried out as part of the campaign.

These initiatives aim to sensitise the youth, parents, and community members about the dangers of substance abuse and encourage early intervention and community participation in the fight against drug addiction.

Special focus is being given to involving students, teachers, PRIs, and religious leaders to ensure the message reaches every corner of the district.
