ANANTNAG: District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) on Mission YUVA meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Syed Fakhruddin Hamid at DC Office Complex.
The meeting was held to evaluate and approve youth venture projects submitted under the ambitious Mission YUVA initiative.
During the meeting, 50 project proposals duly verified by the Small Business Development Units (SBDUs) were placed before the committee. After thorough scrutiny of each application all 50 were approved for financial assistance and handholding support. The committee assessed eligibility, business viability, and the socio-economic profile of each applicant to ensure alignment with the mission's objectives.
DC underlined the significance of promoting self-employment opportunities, especially for youth from marginalized and underprivileged backgrounds. He urged all departments and stakeholders to operate in a mission mode for prompt disbursement of funds, rigorous monitoring, and comprehensive mentoring of the approved ventures.
He also emphasized the importance of well-prepared Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and directed that they be carefully examined to ensure each venture is viable and aligned with the goals of Mission YUVA. He further called for enhanced outreach and awareness campaigns to attract wider participation from youth across the district.
DC reiterated the district administration's commitment to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation through collaborative and time-bound efforts under Mission YUVA.
The meeting was attended by key DLIC members, including General Manager DIC, Nazia Hassan; Assistant Director Employment, District Social Welfare Officer, DDM NABARD, Lead District Manager, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, Employment Officer and Career Counselling Officer. |
