GDC Ramgarh Organises cleanliness drive to mark Gandhi Jayanti

SAMBA: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit-Prabha of Government Degree College Ramgarh organized a cleanliness drive in a nearby public park under the banner of ‘Gandhi Jayanti'.

The drive was conducted under the supervision and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of the College.

Dr. Shamsher Lal, the programme officer of the NSS unit ‘Prabha' of the College, the NSS committee members and the NSS volunteers visited the nearby public park to carry out Shramdaan. He briefed the volunteers about the guidelines to carry out the cleanliness drive. He also explained the importance of cleanliness and said that the drive had been one of the social responsibilities that the College has towards the society at large.

The volunteers and the NSS Committee members Dr. Ekta Rani, Dr. Shivali Choudhary, Dr. Paramjeet Kour, Priya Sharma, and Sunil Kumarwore the sanitary gloves throughout the drive. The collected waste was disposed of at a designated site.

A large number of volunteers were present, and they participated in the drive. The residents of the area applauded this role of the College.

It is to be noted that from time to time the College performs such social responsibilities.
