DC Kathua releases Publication highlighting Socio-economic profile of district

KATHUA: To highlight the socio-economic and development profile of the district, District Development Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey released "Village Amenity Directory" for the year 2021-22 here at a brief release function organised in his office today.

Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh; District Statistics and Evaluation Officer Kathua, Ranjeet Thakur; Assistant Director (E&S), Mahesh Kumar and other staff members of DSEO Office Kathua were present during the release ceremony.

The District Statistics and Evaluation Office Kathua is the Nodal Agency for collection, compilation and dissemination of important statistical data in the district. The data contained in the publication will serve as an important tool for the researchers, planners, students and other users in their respective fields.

After releasing the publication, the DDC hailed the efforts put in by the field functionaries involved in collection of data. He stressed on making further improvements in future with the regular updating and wide coverage so that the data shall be used by all stakeholders.

He also disclosed that the publication will be made available in public domain and citizens can download the same from the official website of District Administration Kathua and DSEO Kathua (www.dseokathua.i.
