GDC Kishtwar, SWD organise awareness programme on "Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan"

KISHTWAR: An awareness programme on the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was today held here at Government Degree College Kishtwar.
The programme was organised in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare.
A series of awareness activities including debate competition, seminar and rally were organised on Nasha Mukt Bharat with the involvement of the students of and as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav programme.
The Chief Guest of the program was the College Principal Prof Anirudh Sharma, while Professor Athar Hussain HoD Zoology was the Guest of Honour. Nisar Hussain Shah Dy. Commandant JKPA Battalion Kishtwar was the Special speaker.
The Programme was coordinated by Prof. Tariq Husain Dev, HoD Urdu.
A number of College students participated in the program and 12 Speakers spoke in an open debate and seminar. Professor Sehrish Gazal, HoD Environmental Science, gave a PPT on ‘Drugs Menace and its Implications on Society.'
Tehsil Social Welfare Officer (TSWO) Babu Ram presented the keynote address on the Topic.
At the end of the programme, a rally supporting the Nasha Mukt Bharat was organised in the College Premises in which scores of students took part with placards and chanting slogans against Drug Abuse.
