Senior Congress leader, former Minister Swarn Lata joins BJP

JAMMU: Senior Congress leader, member AICC, former MLA, & former MoS Swarn Lata who has served the Congress party on various key posts joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in presence of senior party leaders at party Headquarter.

J&K BJP general secretary (Org.), Ashok Koul, MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, BJP NEM Priya Sethi, former MLC, Vikram Randhawa, vice-president, Assem Gupta, district president, Vinay Gupta, Mahila Morcha president, Sanjita Dogra, Mandal president, Lucky Puri and other senior party leaders and others welcomed her.

Ashok Koul, while welcoming the senior Congress leader said that today, the time has come when everybody is recognizing the dedicated and constant efforts of BJP and its activists in strengthening the nation. He said that every activist of the party works with the principle of "nation first" in mind and the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has himself established the highest benchmark of serving the society and the nation selflessly.

Jugal Kishore Sharma welcomed her into the party fold and said that going by its selfless policies the party is increasing base day by day along the length and breadth of the nation. He said that more and more people have adopted the principles of BJP to serve the nation selflessly.

Kavinder Gupta, welcoming the new entrants said that all the BJP policies are dedicated towards welfare of society and strengthening the nation and quoted the example of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan" which has received massive support of common masses around the region.

Priya Sethi, welcoming her into the BJP family said that the senior Congress leader has enough experience of dedicated public life. She expressed her belief that her services will further extend the base of party into the society.

Swarn Lata said that impressed by the dedicated working of PM Modi, she has firm belief that the nation will reach new heights in short span of time. She added that had the nation got Modi Ji as Prime Minister two decades earlier, we would have been super power much earlier. She, on the occasion, assured party leadership that she will leave no stone unturned to work for the party, the society and the nation.
