REASI: The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) for Mission YUVA was convened today in Reasi. District Development Commissioner (DDC) Nidhi Malik chaired the meeting to review and approve cases verified by the Small Business Development Units (SBDUs).
A total of 143 cases, verified by the SBDUs were presented before the Committee and subsequently approved for financial assistance and handholding support under Mission YUVA.
The Committee, headed by DDC carried out a detailed scrutiny of each application based on eligibility, business viability, and the socio-economic background of the applicants. She emphasized the critical need to promote self-employment opportunities for local youth, particularly those from underprivileged and marginalized communities.
The DDC also reviewed the district's overall performance under Mission YUVA and directed all relevant departments to ensure the prompt release of financial assistance, regular monitoring and comprehensive mentoring to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the approved projects.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to fostering youth-driven entrepreneurship and promoting sustainable livelihoods through the coordinated and effective implementation of Mission YUVA across the district.
