KULGAM: As part of the ongoing Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), mega awareness cum saturation camp was held today at Kutamarg witnessing overwhelming participation from the local population.

The programme was presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan. He emphasized that the fortnight-long Abhiyan, launched on June 15, is aimed at ensuring saturation of centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) in tribal villages across the district.

Addressing the gathering, DC underlined the goal of inclusive development and directed all departments to ensure 100% coverage of eligible beneficiaries, with a particular focus on ensuring that no beneficiary is left out.

He appealed to the public to actively come forward and enroll under various central government schemes to uplift their socio-economic conditions.

During the camp, multiple departments had installed stalls, showcasing their schemes and enrolling beneficiaries on the spot.

DC inspected these stalls and reviewed the registration process and service delivery mechanisms.

A large number of participants received awareness on welfare and livelihood schemes, and many were registered under flagship schemes.

To mark the spirit of the campaign, students from PM Shri Middle School Kutamarg presented vibrant cultural and traditional variety performances, adding a festive and participatory element to the outreach programme.

Later, DC interacted with the public, listened to their grievances, and issued on-the-spot directions to officers for immediate redressal of various issues raised by the attendees.
