RAMBAN: In a significant thrust towards inclusive and holistic development, the District Administration Ramban, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, is all set to conduct a district-wide awareness and benefit saturation campaign under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan from June 15 to June 30, 2025.
The flagship initiative, launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on October 2, 2024, aims to saturate all tribal villages with essential government services and bridge existing development gaps.
The campaign will cover all 11 notified tribal villages including Chachal, Bangara, Billawat, Chachwa, Dheeda, Somber, Narthyal, Mangot, Targam, Khari and Shagan located in 11 Panchayats across 7 blocks of the district. A strategic, data-driven approach has been adopted, beginning with a baseline gap analysis conducted under the supervision of the Rural Development Department. This analysis identified infrastructure shortfalls and key human development challenges, which will be addressed through targeted interventions during the campaign.
A series of benefit saturation cum awareness camps will be organized to ensure that services from 17 government departments reach the last-mile beneficiaries. These camps will provide on-the-spot access to welfare schemes related to social security, skill development, housing, education, livelihood generation, financial inclusion, and more. Special focus will be given to health services, particularly awareness and testing for sickle cell disease, alongside efforts to improve access to basic amenities like drinking water, sanitation, and road connectivity.
Each camp will also function as a single-window service hub, enabling tribal residents to access schemes in real-time and raise developmental concerns. The campaign will also include mass mobilization and IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) drives to ensure maximum reach and participation.
By directly engaging with tribal communities and delivering integrated services at their doorstep, the campaign represents a vital step in realizing the collective vision of an empowered and self-reliant tribal community. |
