DC Poonch enquires about wellbeing of injured civilians; Reviews provision of amenities at public shelter

POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today visited Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital to inquire about the wellbeing of individuals injured in yesterday's cross border shelling.

During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the injured and expressed his heartfelt solidarity with the bereaved family members. He assured them of comprehensive support and assistance from the administration amid this challenging time.

In a directive to the medical staff, he emphasized the importance of providing the best possible treatment to the injured, ensuring they face no inconveniences in their recovery. He also visited the Blood Bank to review the availability of blood and directed staff to ensure an adequate and uninterrupted supply to meet any emergency needs.

Later, Deputy Commissioner along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik and other district officers, visited Government Polytechnic College Sathra, the designated shelter camp for residents of Tehsil Mandi.

The visit aimed to review the availability of basic facilities such as food, clothing, medicines and water for the sheltered individuals.

He directed the concerned Tehsildar to closely monitor the operations to avoid inconvenience to the people. All necessary facilities including food, power, water, and sanitation have been made available in all shelter camps to ensure the well-being and comfort of displaced residents.
