Election Observers for Jammu PC visit Kalakote-Sunderbani AC

RAJOURI: In a proactive move towards ensuring smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, General Observer, Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal and Police Observer Bopal Gajarao for Jammu Parliamentary Constituency today visited Kalakote-Sunderbani AC and reviewed preparedness for the polling at meeting of official stakeholders.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Returning Officers (AROs), Flying Squad teams, Video Surveillance teams, Video Viewing team and Accounting team.
The Observers meticulously reviewed the preparedness measures undertaken for Lok Sabha elections.
During the deliberations, the Observers briefed the concerned stakeholders about their role and responsibilities, emphasizing the crucial nature of their duties. They stressed on maintaining transparency and fairness of the electoral process.
Recognizing the pivotal role played by each team in safeguarding the democratic ethos, they underscored the significance of performing their duties with unwavering dedication and diligence.
They also inspected the polling stations and took stock of the assured minimum facilities at the polling stations.
In line with the Election Commission's mandate, the visit of the Observers and subsequent directives serve as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Commission to conduct elections with utmost integrity and professionalism. Such proactive measures underscore the resolve of the Election Commission to uphold the democratic fabric of the nation.
Among the others who accompanied the Observers during their visit were the District Election Officer, Om Prakash Bhagat; SSP, Amrit Pal Singh; ADC Sunderbani, Rajeev Magotra; ADC Kalakote, Mohd Tanveer; Addl SP Nowshera and other concerned officers.
