Commandant IRP 16th Bn inaugurates cricket tournament

RAMBAN: Commandant IRP 16th Battalion Ramban, Pawan Parihar inaugurated the Shaheed Sarfraz Memorial Cricket Tournament 2022-23 under the Civic Action Programme at IRP Headquarters today.

After the inauguration, Commandant Parihar met with players from the Hamdard Cricket Club Ramban and Red Wings Maitra Ramban. He emphasised that the police frequently organise sports events to promote a competitive spirit and positive energy among young people.

A total of 34 teams from across Ramban district are participating in this T-10 (10-over) tournament. In addition, volleyball tournaments were also organised at Gool, Banihal and Batote under the Civic Action Programme.

Deputy Commandant, Reyaz Iqbal Tantray was also present at the event, along with Deputy SP, Anu Sharma, Deputy SP, Vidya Sagar and members of NGOs.
