NSS unit of DDE JU organises Cleanliness Drive

JAMMU: The NSS campus unit of DDE, University of Jammu conducted a cleanliness drive on 1st February, 2023 to sensitise the volunteers about the importance of cleanliness.
About thirteen NSS volunteers and sixteen other volunteers actively participated in the drive.
The drive started with an interaction of the volunteers with the Director DDE, Prof. Neelu Rohmetra in the presence of teaching staff, officers and other non-teaching employees of the Directorate.
During her interaction, she motivated the volunteers by sharing her valuable comments on cleanliness.
She said that cleanliness drive should not be confined to one particular day. Rather, it should be internalised by all of us, not just at our homes and workplaces, but wherever we go.
The volunteers carried and spoke slogans on cleanliness.
Thereafter, they cleaned different corners of the Directorate and put the garbage in the garbage bags, which were disposed off in coordination with the health centre, University of Jammu.
The faculty members as well as Safai karamcharis of the Directorate too participated enthusiastically in the drive.
The drive was coordinated by Dr. Neelam Choudhary, NSS PO (DDE) under the overall supervision of Dr. Savita Nayar, Convener campus units, University of Jammu and NSS Program Coordinator Dr. Hema Gandotra.
