Heritage School organises seminar on road safety and traffic awareness

JAMMU: A seminar on Traffic Rules and Road Safety was conducted in Heritage School on Tuesday. The aim of the seminar was to educate students about road safety and the importance of following traffic rules.

The guest speaker on the occasion was Bikram Kumar, DYSP Traffic City, South Jammu. He addressed the students about the road safety rules and emphasized that road safety awareness is imperative in averting road accidents.

He said that every citizen should follow the road safety rules and students too should adhere to traffic rules. Neglecting traffic rules, over speeding, using mobile while driving, not wearing seat belt or helmet and use of defective vehicles have serious consequences.

The esteemed guest also pointed out the statistics about accidents happening. He then enlightened the students about the measures that must be followed to ensure road safety through exhibition and informative ppt presentation. His discourse was followed by students' interaction and queries, making the whole session more interactive and informative.

The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Akash Pradhan, Principal Heritage School, who expressed his gratitude to the worthy guest for taking out some moments from his valuable time and sharing his expert knowledge with the young listeners.
