Department of Law, JU celebrates Constitution Day

JAMMU: The Department of Law, Jammu University today celebrated the Constitution Day.

Prof. Satinder Kumar, Head and Dean, Department of Law and Convener of the Programme delivered the welcome address while highlighting the importance of the Constitution Day.

Prof. SK Sharma Former Head and Dean, Department of Law and the Former Information Commissioner of J&K was the Keynote Speaker and the Guest of Honour. Prof. Naresh Padha, Dean Academic Affairs was the Chief Guest of the function.

Prof. S.K Sharma spoke on "Indian Constitution: A Document of People's Faith and Aspirations". He gave a detailed history of the making of Indian Constitution and also highlighted its important provisions.Prof. Naresh Padha in his presidential remarks congratulated the Department of Law for organizing the programme on Constitution Day.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Sanjay Gupta.

The occasion was graced by other faculty members of Department of Law including Prof. Seema Nargotra, Dr. Vijay Saigal, Dr. Navdeep Kour and the scholars and the students of Department of Law.
