JU celebrates Constitution Day

JAMMU: On the eve of the Constitution Day, NSS Campus Units, JU celebrated Constitution Day in collaboration with The Law School, Jammu University, by organizing a symposium on the topic "Know your Constitution: Fundamental Rights and Duties of every citizen".

The event was coordinated by Dr Monika Bhardwaj, PO, NSS, Jammu University. Prof. Manju Jamwal, Director, The Law School, Jammu University, in her inaugural address while explaining the role of the Preamble and Fundamental Rights highlighted the need to obey Fundamental Duties, enshrined in the Constitution of India and stressed upon the need of social responsibility of citizen towards the country.

Vishali, Insha, Awantika, Anshika, Anchita, Anjali, Sanya,Sakshi, Asna, Hemanya, Deeksha and Aditya Mahajan, all students of the law school, participated in the symposium.

The event was concluded with a Preamble reading. Manav Seth, a student of the law school, anchored the event.

A formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr Monika Narang, Faculty, The Law School, JU.

The event was attended by the students and faculty of the law school.
