DDC Rajouri reviews progress of civil works under SAMAGRA Shiksha program

Asks to meet set timelines, adhere to quality parameters

RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress of civil works of the SAMAGRA Shiksha program in the district.

Officers who attended the meeting were ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE PWD(R&B), Nissar Hussain; CEO Education, Shailash Kumari and other concerned officers.

During the meeting, the DDC sought a detailed report from the concerned officers about the physical and financial progress on the civil works under SAMAGRA Shiksha program who in turn briefed about the same.

The meeting was informed that as many as 451 works were approved for the FY-2018-19, FY-2019-20, FY-2020-21, FY-2021-22 and FY-2022-23 out of which 161 are complete in all respects, 106 are in progress, land is not available for 43 works, while 22 works have not been taken up yet. It was also informed that the tendering for 119 works is in progress.

Taking stock of other projects, the meeting was apprised that out of 05 KGBVs, 02 are complete while rest were in different stages of execution. Similarly, the DDC also took a comprehensive review of physical and financial progress of works of different nature.

Taking note of the procedural issues, the DDC asked the concerned officers to ensure that the tenders for works are allotted at the earliest so that the works are executed on ground within the shortest possible time.

Stress was also laid on maintaining quality, while executing the work for the longevity of the projects.
