PSPS GCW Gandhinagar initiates Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations

JAMMU: A series of events were organized by Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt PG College for Women Gandhinagar Jammu to commemorate the 153rd Birth Anniversary of the Father of Nation whose thoughts and vision lighted the path of youth.

The celebrations begin with the Cleanliness Drive on the College campus on 21st of Sept. 2022. As many as 52 students enthusiastically participated and propagated the message of keeping our surroundings clean and beautiful.

The second event in the series was Slogan writing Competition on the topic 'Swachata hi Sewa'. A total of 32 students wrote thought-provoking slogans on the given topic to spread awareness regarding the vision of Gandhiji Ji. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions were clinched by Siya Saini, Navnidham Kour and Mehak Saini of semester 2nd.

The event was judged by Prof. Kamlesh Slathia, Dean Sciences and Dr. Harjeet Kour Sodhi, Associate Professor, Dept. of Botany. Prof. Minu Mahajan , the Principal of the College applauded the students for their enthusiastic participation and appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee - Prof. Mala Bhasin, Convenor ; Prof. Suman Bala, Prof. Sugandha Mahajan, Dr. Ujjwal Sharma, Dr. Kusum and Dr. Sunita Kumari ( Members ) for well coordinated events.
