IMFA, JU organizes Cultural Programme

JAMMU: Under the auspicious occasion 'Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' the Institute of Music & Fine Arts (IMFA) today organized a cultural programme on the IMFA premises where students of the Music Department entertain the audience with their performances.
They presented bhajans & patriotic songs which were highly appreciated by the large number of audience present on the occasion.
Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu grace the occasion as Chief Guest, while renowned Tabla player Purshotam Kumar was the Guest of Honour.
At the outset, Principal IMFA Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik briefed the audience about the activities taken under the auspicious occasion of "Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav".
He informed that during the last year, IMFA organized workshops, seminars, conferences & cultural programs.
The Applied Art Department too organized various activities during the last year.
Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik further said that we should be loyal to our country so that country could be developed more & more.
Purnima Sharma highlighted various cultural activities which were taken in Modi Regime during the last eight years.
She further said that Prime Minister Modi has taken the country on development paths in various fields including education & cultural heritage.
It is because of Prime Minister Modi that internationally India has made its identity. Prime Minister Modi has taken various steps to make India self-dependent.
Purnima Sharma appreciated the performance of the students on patriotic bhajans & songs.
The proceedings of the program were conducted by Dr. Jasmeet Kour while a vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Priya Dutta.
Rakesh Sharma HOD Applied Art, Dr. Sumeet Madan HOD Violin, Dr. Roshi Shaminotra, Raj Kumar Sharma, Vijay Kumar, Bindu Sharma, Dr. Anjul Aggarwal & others were also present on the occasion.
