GCOE celebrates 22 years of victory, indomitable valour of soldiers

JAMMU: National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government College of Education (GCOE) Jammu today celebrated 22nd anniversary of "Kargil Vijay Diwas" to commemorate "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav" honouring the Kargil war heroes here.
The students saluted the valour and grit of soldiers through an online poem competition and paid hailings to the soldiers on Padlet.
Pertinently, the Indian armed forces had defeated Pakistan on July 26, 1999. Since then, the day is being celebrated as "Kargil Vijay Diwas" to rekindle the pride and valour of soldiers who took part in Operation Vijay. The program was proficiently conducted by NSS Program Officer, Dr. Shubhra Jamwal along with NSS faculty member Professor Shapia Shameem Bhatti, Professor Sarita Dogra said Professor Seema kumari.
Dr. Kulvinder Kour, Principal of GCOE, applauded the efforts of NSS team and spoke on the sacrifices made by our forces.
The speakers determined to Remember, Rejoice and Renew their faith in Indian Army.
The volunteers who were part of the organizing team was Diksha Devi, Suvidha Sambyal, Ambica Mishra, Komal, Mahima and Samreeti Sunakshi.
