JAMMU: Heritage School conducted Orientation Programmes for new members of the school fraternity for the session 2021-22, on 19th and 20th March.
Though an yearly event, it acquired a critical tenor this year in view of the Pandemic scenario. The Programme aimed at developing a congenial atmosphere to facilitate holistic development of the young students, especially of Class I ,who would be commencing their formal education.
The session included a short interaction with the parents of the new students of Class I, viz-a-viz the mode of academic progress in the current scenario.
In his welcome address the Principal, Akash Pradhan, reiterated the fact that Parent-Teacher coordination and cooperation were the cornerstone of a school's success and hoped for their continued support in helping the children resume their academic journey while learning new skill sets to deal with the current situation.
Thereafter, the Headmistress Vandana Jasrotia explicated the rules and regulations and also spoke about the need to avoid transferring our fears and anxieties to the children as we induct them into the new normal which perhaps is the only normal the little children have experienced.
The Incharges in the Primary area also addressed the parents, making them aware of the established ways and the code of conduct of the school.
Doubts and apprehensions of the parents were allayed by the Headmistress and the Principal during the discussion rounds.
