Congress trends #TrumpGoneModiNext on Twitter, says 'America opened India's eyes'

NEW DELHI: Days after Joe Biden was sworn in as the 46th US President of the US, Congress IT Cell started trending # TrumpGoneModiNext on Twitter.

Madhya Pradesh Congress shared a tweet saying America opened India's eyes.

After Trump lost the 2020 US Presidential Election, many Congress leaders mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for endorsing Trump at the Howdy Modi rally at Houston in 2019.

'All patriots must help PM Modi to follow his good friend DOLAND'

Congress IT cell's Gaurav Pandhi targeted the PM in his tweet saying: "BJP suffers from a Reverse Robinhood Syndrome. Its every policy is anti-poor, filling up the pockets of its corporate friends. All patriots must help PM Modi to follow his good friend DOLAND out of power before our country is owned by 4-5 crony capitalists."

Congress spokesperson and MP Manish Tewari in a cryptic tweet said, "Time for other trump clones to leave too!"

Congress leader P Chidambaram told the Indian political leadership to absorb lessons on diversity and pluralism.

"I hope all our political leaders are watching the swearing-in as President of the United States of 78-year old Joe Biden who has pledged to unite a divided nation and restore its soul. I hope all our political leaders are watching the swearing-in of Kamala Harris as VP of the United States and absorbing lessons on diversity and pluralism," he said in a tweet.

I also hope that INDIA will forever celebrate diversity and pluralism in this ancient land, the former home minister said in his tweet.

'Getting our country rid of failed Modi regime'
Hailing Biden's inauguration, Pandhi in another tweet said, "The US has finally taken a positive step in the right direction and now it's our turn. Every patriotic Indian must ensure that we all work towards getting our country rid of failed Modi regime."

Joe Biden was sworn-in as President and Kamala Harris as Vice President in a historic ceremony on January 20.
