DLSA Baramulla launches Plantation Drive

Move Aims at Restoration of our Depleting Eviron, Secy DLSA

BARAMULLA: In a significant move towards preservation and restoration of our depleting environment, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) today launched a plantation drive in Baramulla.

Drive was kick started by Secretary DLSA Faizan-ul-Haq Iqbal who planted a tree sapling in Gulnar park Baramulla.

While Speaking on the occasion, Faizan-ul-Haq Iqbal said that the drive was started with the purpose to enhance the green cover besides restoring the natural glory of our depleting environment. He informed that similar drives shall be launched at other places of the district to ensure the preservation of our environment.

While highlighting the importance of forests, the Secretary said that forests play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance. Besides, he urged upon various stakeholders to play an active part in this regard.

Moreover, he said this step is in the right direction to recover the lost glory of our environment and urged every conscious citizen to involve in the plantation drive so that future generations could be saved from the disastrous consequences of the environmental degradation.
