Students of MV International School felicitated

SAMBA: MV International School again attained glory when two girl students of the school namely Mehak Rajput of class 12th Arts and Garima Slathia of class 11th Arts received appreciation certificate and cash prize worth Rs 2100 each from Rohit Khajuria, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Samba.

These girls had represented the J&K Team in U-19 National Taekwondo Championship held at Guwahati. The certificates and the cash prize were issued by district administration Samba under Center Sponsored Scheme 2020 (CSS), Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. Kiran Jyoti, District Youth Service & Sports officer, Samba was also present during the event.

School management congratulated the students for their achievements and inspiring the other girl students of the school to keep aiming high.

In the session 2019-20, total seven students of MVIS has represented J&K team for playing at national level in various sports.

Students namely Aryan Singh Rajput, 12th Arts represented the J&K Team in U-19 National Taekwondo Championship held at Guwahati and also represented J&K Team U-17 in national volleyball, Mohd Farhan, 11th Commerce represented J&K U19 in Tennis Cricket team held in Rajasthan, Ansh Khajuria of class 8th represented J&K Team U-14 for Artistic Gymnastic held at Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Two students have also brought laurels to school by representing the school at international level. Bhumika Gupta of class 7th won bronze medal in 1st Oceania Bocce Ball Competition held at Malaysia and Ishan Gupta of class 4th won 2nd DAN from Tenshinkan Karatedo Federation, Japan.
