Dushyant leads Indian contingent in SAG Games

JAMMU: International wrestler and SSP with J&K Police, Dushyant Sharma led the Indian contingent as Chef de Mission in the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) during the colourful opening ceremony at Dasarth Rangasala in Kathmandu (Nepal) on Sunday.

As per the reports reaching here, 500 athletes and officials from seven countries of the SAARC region are taking part in this event.

"Over 2700 athletes shall compete for 1119 medals including 319 gold in 26 disciplines. As many as 661 sportspersons and officials from India are participating in this biggest sports event of South Asia," Dushyant said. He further informed that the Indian contingent is participating in 22 games out of a total of 27.

The wrestling event shall take place at Janakpuri.
