Paper Fancy Dress Competition organized by YTS, Rayan bagged 1st position

JAMMU: An inter-school competition of Fancy Dress made up of Paper under the banner of Youth Talent Search (YTS) forum was organized at Humanity Public School (Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana).

The forum is comprised of well reputed nine schools of Jammu Province and is giving platform to the students to show their inner talent and skills with the help of their mentors (teachers).

In this competition, 18 students of nine different schools participated to exhibit their talent. All the students were wearing beautiful dresses made by their mentors with the help of colourful paper, waste crafts and news papers. The participants also spoke on the theme of their dresses. They performed so well that it was extremely difficult for the judges to choose the top three positions among them. The audience in the auditorium was mesmerized and they gave thundering applause to the participants.

The first position was secured by Rayan of Lawrence Public School, Panjtirthi, whereas Udhayveer Sharma of JK Montessori High School won the second prize and the third position was secured by Kashish Sharma of New Era Environmental High School, Jammu while special appreciation was given to the students of Humanity Public School namely Manya Bali and Maheer for their presentation. All the participants belong to second standard.

Shwetima Jamwal (R.J. from 98.3 Radio Mirchi) and Abhishek Malhotra (Managing Director, PCM Garments) were the Judges of the event. While speaking on the occasion, RJ Mirchi Shwetima shared her personal childhood experience where she got disheartened by bagging Second Position in a Singing Talent competition and how her Teachers and parents taught her that What matters is not what you are judged, but what you Perform and Win Hearts of the audiences with. She encouraged all the teachers and performers to not care for results and just perform to the best of their skills and abilities.

Abhishek addressing the august gathering said its very important for Parents and teachers to inculcate one habit in young ones that is to reuse and recycle their own clothes, toys and everything possible. The Judges appreciated the efforts of the students and their mentors for their lovely performances; they also congratulated the management and staff of H.P.S for such a lovely rousing reception and were impressed with the cultural performances given by the students which made the event even more impressive.

While speaking on the occasion Principal of H.P.S Gaurav Charak congratulated the students for their hard work and said that the platform of YTS always helps to bring out the hidden talent of the students which also helps them in developing confidence and being able to match the standards of this super fast moving world.
