JLN Story Impact | Overloaded matador challaned in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR: Owing to the menace of overloading, errant and rash driving, lakhs of people lose their lives in India every year. Only implementation of strict laws can arrest such actions at the earliest.

The story made its impact and the traffic authorities have finally taken strict action against the matador owner who compromised the safety of commuters by overloading the matador.

The registered owner of the vehicle has been identified as Mohd. Anwar, S/o Gh. Rasool, R/o Sailan Talab Udhampur. A show-cause notice was issued against him by ARTO Udhampur and he has been fined Rs. 2000.

Jammu Links News also talked to SSP National Highway, Jatinder Singh Johar recently regarding traffic situation on the highway, in which he spoke about the awareness and enforcement drives organized by the Department to ensure proper implementation of New Motor Vehicles Act. He also spoke about the issue of road accidents being witnessed majorly on link roads in Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, Udhampur, and other areas and assured that the department is constantly working on tackling such issues efficiently.
