JSS Kathua celebrates Teachers’ Day

KATHUA: Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated Teacher's day to honour and mark the birth anniversary of great teacher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

Both students and staff of the school gathered gleefully for thecelebration. The function inaugurated with lamp lightning by Mili R Sumbria, Principal JSS kathua along with Govind Ram Sharma (Administrator)and Coordinators.

The program commenced with Mantra seeking blessing from the almighty by students of Classes 9th to 11th followed by dance performance on Ghoomar song by the elegant dancing divas of classes 5th to 11th which left everyone spellbound.

Students organised various games for the Teachers like paper dance, musical chair, tongue twisters etc. The winning teachers were presented gifts for the same.

A solo song with melody dipped notes was sung by Samar of Class 10th and Drishti of class 11th. An enthralling, foot-tapping Western dance performance on song 'Cheap thrills' and ‘Taki taki.......rumba'was showcased by the dancing stars of Class 9th and 10th.

Lastly, the program was wrapped up with an energetic bhangra performance. The Students presented rose buds along with handmade sash with customised description of each teacher on it.
