KCIS celebrated Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan

JAMMU: KC International School celebrated Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan with great pride and enthusiasm in the school campus. The programme was started with the lamp lighting ceremony by the Principal of the School.

The theme of the programme was ‘Unity in Diversity' which was loaded with the feeling of sacrifice for one's nation. The students showcased immense feeling of patriotism through cultural dance performances, group songs and play. It was a tribute to the soldiers who are always awake to keep everyone safe. Rakshabandhan, a festival of an eternal bond between a brother and sister was also celebrated with deep emotions.

The highlight of the celebration was little girls of Pre-Primary blessing and tying up rakhies on the wrist of their adorable Principal Sir who is the guardian soul of the school. The national flag was unfurled and the national anthem was sung with feeling of joy and pride.

The entire ambience of the school was immersed in saga of bravery, emotions and secularism. The programme was concluded by Principal Subhendu Sarkar who put light on the significance of freedom and urged the students to follow ethical path and become exemplary citizens of India.
