Unique 80 feet tricolor rakhi formation at MVIS

JAMMU: Pre-Independence Day & Raksha Bandhan celebrations were held at MV International School, with great fervour & enthusiasm.

Students and staff gathered together to blend the festivities by displaying a huge formation of 80 feet long ‘Rakhi amalgamated in the Tricolour'. Tiny Tots of the School formed flowers around the Ashoka Chakra as the dial. This unique display was formed by nearly 800 students of primary wing of the school. Their enthusiasm was worth noting as they chanted the tunes of Vande Mataram and paid tribute to the motherland by shouting slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai'.

In another event, students of Pre-Primary School prepared colourful Rakhis to mark the occasion of bonding between brothers and sisters. Children were excited to create rakhis with papers, ribbons, strings in the shape of various characters of their choice.

The aim of this concept was to celebrate the uniqueness and richness of India's history and culture and give it a tangible shape. Spirit of nationalism and love for the motherland was displayed by the students with their brilliant performances. Entire school campus was filled with patriotic fervor and celebration of this unique national festival, the 73rd Independence Day was witnessed with national spirit of festivity, gratification, honour and hope for a better future.
