Vaishno Devi shrine witnesses heavy rush of pilgrims

KATRA: Holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi has been witnessing heavy rush of pilgrims for the past few days.

The pilgrimage touched a figure of 47369 people on 15th June 2019, highest for this calendar year was disclosed by Simrandeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

He further stated that up-till 15th June 2019 the number of people who paid obeisance at the shrine were around 32,76,000.

In view of this, the Shrine Board has made adequate security arrangements to regulate the rush.

Special security arrangements have been made at the places of crowd.

The world famous cave shrine is situated in Trikuta Hills of Katra in Reasi district of Jammu & Kashmir.
