Viral Video: Gets only 5 votes despite having the family of 9 voters, candidate cries

CHANDIGARH: While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and PM Narendra Modi are probably celebrating their victory by crossing 50 percent vote share, there's a candidate in the Punjab state who is crying for receiving just 5 votes despite having the family of 9 members.

Neetu Shutten Wala, who stood as an independent cadidate from Jalandhar claims to have gotten only 5 votes despite having 9 members in his own family, doubted his own family members betrayed him

When he was interviewed by Punjabi daily Jag Bani, he broke down in front of the camera and started crying.

Apart from blaming his family, Wala also accused the EVM machines of tampering.

The reporter, on the other hand, tried his best to get interesting answers from Wala. "When your own family doesn't support you, how can you expect outsiders to help you?" asked the reporter.

As expected, the video quickly went viral after it was shared on Twitter and Facebook

One user wrote, "I feel for this guy.... Next time mai khud jayegi iska prachar karne or vote bhi isich ko degi"

However, after the video went viral, Wala's vote count improved significantly and reached the thousand mark

"This guy observed a sharp increase in his vote share in next rounds of counting. and reached to 820 votes in total," wrote another.
