1. Five exit polls have projected a comfortable majority for Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led national coalition NDA despite attempts by opposition parties to unite in crucial states such as Uttar Pradesh.

2. Going by the opinion polls, of the six Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP is predicted to win two seats, Congress one and the National Conference all the three seats of the Valley.
