J&K Police meets PSA in Veteran T20 final today

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Police shall be playing against Parade Sports Association (PSA) in the final of the Veteran Twenty20 Cricket Tournament being organised to salute the sacrifices of the Indian armed forces at Parade Ground, here tomorrow.

The title clash is scheduled to take place at 8.30 am. While PSA has already qualified for the final beating Evershine Club, the J&K Police today defeated Challenger Cricket Club by 25 runs in the second semifinal.

Earlier, J&K Police set a target of 166 runs for seven. Rakesh Koul remained top scorer with 43-ball 57 runs while Nishu contributed 19-ball 30 runs. Raman Singh remained unbeaten at 28 coming off 12 deliveries. From Challenger, Rajinder Mohan and Amit Gupta shared two wickets each.

In reply, Challenger Club could score 141 runs losing eight wickets. Suresh Singh, Madan and Vivek were top scorers with 28, 24 and 20 runs respectively. From Police XI, Rakesh Koul and Nishu took two wickets each. Later, Rakesh Koul was named man of the match for his all round performance of a half century and two wickets.
