BJP's agenda is to work for the welfare of all sections of Society: Kavinder Gupta

JAMMU: Former Deputy Cheif Minister Kavinder Gupta said that the agenda of the BJP is to work for the welfare of the people.

Interacting with Leaders of BJP in a meeting held at his residence which was attended by Former Minister Priya Sethi, Yudhvir Sethi State General Secretary, Baldev Billowria, Rajesh Gupta former MLA, Jugal Dogra, Vinay Gupta, Anil Masoon, Sunil Sharma and other prominent leaders, Gupta said that, BJP will continue to do social service, despite all the oppositions.

He said, a few people criticize BJP for taking forward the work of previous governments, but he wants to ask them, why not they completed those works. He said, the present Modi Lead Government is completing the long pending projects in the state and in whole of the country as well.

Gupta said faith in PM Modi among all sections of society had increased, especially among the women and youth of the country. This has been possible only due to the policies launched and steps taken for the up- liftment of all sections of society by him during the tenure as Prime Minister.

"He is the favourite Prime Minister for 2019 as he sees all 133 crore people of the country just as Indians contrary to the other parties which have seen them as a vote bank," Gupta said. Gupta blamed the Congress, PDP and NC leaders for the poverty and backwardness of the almost every section of society in the state, saying these parties had done injustice to all except their own families and PM Modi had given them justice.

He further said that actually these parties are anti Kashmiryat philosophy and betraying the people of Kashmir just to garner votes risking the lives of youth of Kashmir by emotionally diverting their mindset towards separatism.

These parties used to take votes from Muslims by spreading the "fear" of PM Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the prime minister had taken out that fear, Gupta said. Now they see that PM Modi is in power but there is no problem, the BJP leader added. "In our party, some people may be making (certain) statements, but Muslims have full faith on the statements made by BJP chief Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi," the former Union minister said. "Our party president and our prime minister have never given any statement that would hurt Muslims," he claimed, asserting that the community would back the saffron party big time in the 2019 general election.

He asked the BJP leaders in the meeting to reach out to the people with the policies and initiatives taken by Prime Minister Modi and BJP leadership to gross root level and ensure the victory from all six Lok Sabha seats to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Modi. The leaders also discussed the strategy and the roles and responsibilities to be assigned to the BJP workers. He also stressed to spread the factual position and achievements achieved with respect to developmental works in Jammu and Kashmir and the deeds of NC, Congress and PDP to the people of the state.
