J&K teen gets Shaurya Chakra by President for his bravery

NEW DELHI: President Ramnath Kovind on Tuesday honored the brave officers and the wives of martyrs. He also honored a 14-year-old boy from Jammu and Kashmir. Irfan Ramzan Sheikh was awarded the Shaurya Chakra. In the year 2017, Irfan foiled the terrorist attack at his house.

On October 16-17, the terrorists surrounded the house of political activist Ramzan Sheikh. Then his 14-year-old son Irfan Ramzan Sheikh opened the door and saw that three terrorists were standing with AK rifle and grenade on their front porch. Irfan showed courage and did not allow them to enter his house.

Meanwhile, Irfan's father Ramzan Sheikh came out of the house, the terrorists broke down on him. After this, Irfan faced the terrorists to save his father and family members. Meanwhile, Ramzan Sheikh was badly injured in the indiscriminate firing of terrorists. Even after this, Irfan did not give up, and confronted the terrorist who fired on his father.
