Doon International School's Kindergarten ' Phulwari ' Celebrates Graduation Day

JAMMU: Kindergarten graduation is a celebration that marks the journey of a child to the formal wing of a school in which they will be spending 10 to 12 long years facing ups & downs, experimenting and exploring new ideas and things and shaping themselves into tomorrow's leaders. To celebrate this occasion, the kindergarten wing ‘Phulwari' of DIS presented a spectacular and splendid show in the school premises.

The programme started with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Rajinder Singh Rahi, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chairman G.N.Tantray , Vice Chairman M.A. Tantray, Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur and other dignitaries . Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur extended a warm welcome to the parents and the guests and complimented the graduates on their achievements. She advised them to keep their energy high and face this new phase of life with colossal strength and indomitable spirit.

The cultural programme commenced with the welcome dance presented by the toddlers of L.K.G followed by a melodious song sung by Sachin who is a budding and talented singer of LKG. The graceful dancers of UKG left everone spellbound with their mesmerizing flower dance. Another heart stealing performance was a dance by the toddlers of Nursery where they gave a message to love animals and protect them. The highlight of the programme was the skit presented by the students of UKG that depicted the excitement, nervousness and apprehensions of the students passing out from kindergarten to grade 1. The parents of the students witnessed the ceremony where their excited little ones wore the graduation gowns and caps and held their scrolls firmly in their hands as they took a new step towards their academic life. The graduation ceremony was followed by Prize Distribution where the winners in different categories were felicitated by the Chief Guest Mr Rajinder Singh Rahi, Chairman G.N.Tantray ,Vice Chairman M.A. Tantray and Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur.

In his speech, the Chief Guest Rajinder Singh Rahi congratulated the students and the parents on the occasion and appreciated the school for the efforts in the right direction. The Vote of Thanks was presented by Headmistress Mrs Sarita Moza Kaul.
