Republic Day celebrated at JSS

KATHUA: Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated India's 70th Republic day with passion and zeal and a realization henceforth to build an even stronger nation. The entire school campus reverberated with the patriotic fervor.

For classes 4th to 10th a special trip was organised to the Cineplex to watch the Biopic of ‘Jhansi Ki Rani- Manikarnika' so as to foster an understanding & realization of the intense and brave sacrifices performed by our freedom fighters to achieve Swaraj.

The students of class 1st and 2nd of JSS Kathua presented some heart rendering slogans on motherland India, simultaneously paying a special tribute to Gandhi as they reflected on the theme for this year's Republic Day i.e. ‘150th Birth Anniversary of Gandhi'.

The students of JSS Kathua also performed a Nukad Natak on Fundamental Duties thereby striking an awareness amongst the masses as responsible citizens of our nation.

The students of classes Pre-Nur, 4th and 5th further brought the stage alive as they performed on a medley of patriotic songs.

Mili R. Smbria Principal JSS, Kathua appreciated the students and teaching fraternity for putting up a wonderful event. She thanked and encouraged the coordinators Pardeep Kour (Middle Wing), Smriti Sharma(Primary wing), Monika Sharma(Pre primary wing) along with Romy (Adm. Councilor) and Aarti ( Wisdom House Incharge) for organizing such events as it helps provide a platform for students to showcase their talent.

She further quoted Gandhi that, "A nation's culture resides in the heart and in the soul of its people," so it is our moral responsibility as Indians to build a progressive and peaceful nation full of brotherhood and harmony.
